Lake Layout & Key Structure
Mix of shallow weed flats, mid-depth humps, and deeper basin water. Rocky shoreline points scattered throughout. The connecting channels to Boy Lake and Girl Lake hold fish in the transition seasons.
Seasonal Walleye Tactics
Walleyes on the rocky points and inlet areas in 5–10 ft. Crappies in the back bays. Pike are aggressive in shallow weeds — chuck a spinnerbait.
Walleyes at 14–22 ft on weed edges and offshore humps. Crawler harnesses or Lindy rigs. Muskies in the cabbage — keep moving.
Walleyes shallow again on the rocks. Bigger baits attract bigger fish. Pike feed up — large suckers under floats.
Walleye bite in 16–25 ft on humps and break edges. Crappies suspend in basin holes.
