Seasonal Walleye Tactics

🌱 Spring (Ice-out – June)

Walleyes on the rocky shorelines and early weed edges 6–10 ft. 1/8 oz jig + minnow.

☀️ Summer (June – August)

Walleyes work the cabbage edges in 12–18 ft. Crawler harnesses and Lindy rigs. Pike attack the cabbage all day.

🍂 Fall (September – Ice-up)

Walleye bite improves shallow as water cools. Big crappies stage on deep weed edges.

🧊 Winter (Ice fishing)

Walleye in 16–24 ft on weed-edge breaks. Crappies in basin holes 22–30 ft. Tip-up bite for pike on cabbage edges.
