Multiple deep basins separated by underwater saddles, classic offshore humps (Government Bar, Hole-in-the-Day Bay), rocky shoreline points, and developed shoreline weed lines.

Seasonal Walleye Tactics

🌱 Spring (Ice-out – June)

Walleyes on the gravel points and weed flats in 6–12 ft. Crappies move into Gull Narrows shallows.

☀️ Summer (June – August)

Walleyes go deep — 22–32 ft on Government Bar and the offshore humps. Crawler harnesses are the local favorite. Muskies cruise the cabbage edges in Hole-in-the-Day Bay.

🍂 Fall (September – Ice-up)

Walleyes return to the shallow rocks at night. Stickbaits trolled along the points after dark. Trophy muskie bite on big suckers.

🧊 Winter (Ice fishing)

Walleyes in 22–32 ft on the offshore humps. Tullibees provide forage all winter. Crappies suspend in basin holes 35–50 ft.

Regulations: Standard MN inland walleye regs. Designated muskie lake.
